Tilmicosin phosphate is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic made from tylosin (fermented from Streptomyces fradiae). It is chemically modified and converted into its phosphate salt using phosphoric acid, then formulated with carriers or stabilizers for veterinary use.

�� Used mainly to treat respiratory infections in cattle, sheep, swine, and poultry; given via feed, water, or subcutaneous injection.
�� Advantages: strong against Mycoplasma and Gram-positive bacteria, long lung persistence.
�� Limitations: toxic to humans/horses, requires withdrawal periods, only under veterinary guidance
